The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, October 1, 2024, a public holiday to celebrate Nigeria's 64th Independence Anniversary. This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, on Saturday.
