The United Kingdom Migration Advisory Committee has indicated that foreign students on two-year graduate visas may face deportation if they fail to achieve high grades. This proposal is part of a five-point plan aimed at reducing net migration by 300,000 from record-high levels.

Prof. Brian Bell, Chairman of the MAC, highlighted the need to review whether specific grade requirements should be imposed on university courses for graduate visa eligibility. The committee is also considering potential restrictions tied to universities, courses, or types of employment.
