Professor Adenike Oladiji, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), delivered an inspiring message to the newly admitted students during the orientation program for the 2023/2024 academic session. She emphasized the importance of diligence and hard work as the key to success in both academic pursuits and other aspects of life.

In her address, Professor Oladiji encouraged the students to strive for excellence, highlighting that providence often rewards those who put in consistent effort. Professor Oladiji reiterated the university’s stance on maintaining discipline. FUTA has zero tolerance for cultism, examination malpractice, and anti-social behavior. Violations of conduct guidelines will result in appropriate sanctions, ranging from warnings to suspension or outright expulsion.
