Students from the Federal University of Technology, Minna Model Secondary School (FUTMSS) have demonstrated excellence at the 3rd Knowledge Sharing Workshop, hosted by FUT Minna in collaboration with the University of Abuja's Higher Education Partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa (HEP-SSA) initiative for 2022/24.

The highlight of the event was the debate competition centered on the theme, "Mechanical Engineering is not a gender (female) friendly profession." FUTMSS participants, Rebecca Sokodansa Usman (SS 1) and Ebunoluwa A. Adejumo (SS 2), passionately opposed the motion and outperformed representatives from three other competing schools. Their articulate defense not only debunked stereotypes but also earned them accolades from the judges.

The FUTMSS team emerged victorious, clinching the coveted trophy, a generous cash prize, and scholarships specifically earmarked for the study of mechanical engineering. The competition, held at the SICT Lecture Hall on FUT Minna's Main Campus, attracted participants from various secondary schools across the region.

Engr. Isaac Dangana N. T. Doko presided over the event, which saw enthusiastic participation and spirited debates among the students. The school management, led by Prof. Emmanuel Raymond, Chairman of the board, and Alh. Alhmadu Ibrahim, Principal, along with Vice Principals and dedicated staff members, warmly congratulated the triumphant students on their remarkable achievement.
