Gombe State University Urges Students to Apply for Federal Government Student Loan

Gombe State University (GSU) has issued a call to its students, urging them to seize the opportunity to apply for the Federal Government Student Loan. This development follows an interactive session between the university's management and the student union leaders, where the importance of the initiative was highlighted.

In an internal memo dated November 20, 2024, and signed by the Deputy Registrar Academics, Sarki Musa, students were encouraged to expedite their applications through the official loan portal at nelf.gov.ng. The memo emphasized the need for students to take advantage of the program designed to provide financial assistance for their academic pursuits.

To facilitate the process, the university has designated Mal. Nasim Ibrahim Yusuf of the ICT Directorate, located at the NITDA Park, as the point of contact for inquiries and clarifications. Students were advised to reach out for guidance and additional information to ensure a smooth application process.

The memo, which was copied to the Vice Chancellor, Deputy Vice Chancellor Admin, and the Desk Officer for NELFUND at GSU, reiterated the significance of this initiative as a "golden opportunity" for students to address financial challenges and focus on their education.
