Gregory University, Uturu Set to Hold 14th Matriculation Ceremony

Gregory University, Uturu (GUU) has scheduled its 14th Matriculation Ceremony for Friday, 20th February 2026. The event will hold at the University Auditorium starting at 10:00 AM and will officially welcome newly admitted students into the institution’s academic community, marking the formal beginning of their studies at GUU.

As part of the ceremony, fresh students will take the matriculation oath, affirming their commitment to the university’s core values of scholarship, discipline, and integrity. The Vice-Chancellor is expected to deliver a keynote address, urging students to pursue excellence and innovation throughout their academic journey. The occasion will also feature the traditional faculty procession, with academic staff appearing in full academic regalia.

Participation in the matriculation exercise is mandatory for all undergraduate students admitted for the 2025/2026 academic session, newly admitted postgraduate students, and students from affiliate programmes who have completed their registration requirements.

The university has directed students to pay the approved fee for the hire of academic gowns and the purchase of official brochures. Only students who have completed their registration and fulfilled all financial obligations will be permitted to take part in the ceremony.

To ensure a smooth experience, matriculating students are advised to pay their matriculation fees before 18th February 2026 at the designated university bank, collect their academic gowns between 18th and 19th February at their respective Faculty Offices, and ensure all registration documents have been properly submitted. Students are expected to wear formal attire beneath their gowns and arrive at the venue by 9:00 AM to avoid missing the procession.
