JCIN NSUK Wins National Award, Ends Five-Year Drought at 2026 Collegiate Conference
The Junior Chamber International Nigeria (JCIN) chapter of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has returned to the national spotlight after winning a major award at the 2026 JCI Nigeria Collegiate Conference held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The NSUK delegation, led by Chapter President Zubair Sunusi, won the Best Inter-Organization Collaboration Project Award for its flagship humanitarian initiative, "Feed the Needy."
According to the organisers, the project was recognised for its outstanding execution, strategic partnerships and measurable community impact, emerging ahead of collegiate chapters from across the country in the highly competitive collaboration category.
The victory marks JCIN NSUK's first national award since its last success at the JCI Nigeria Collegiate Conference in 2021, ending a five-year wait for national recognition.
Speaking after receiving the award, Zubair Sunusi described the achievement as the result of resilience, teamwork and an unwavering commitment to service.

He said the award represents a defining moment for the current executive council and the entire chapter, adding that it reflects the collective dedication of members to creating sustainable impact in their communities.
The chapter president dedicated the award to all members of JCIN NSUK and appreciated the university's mentors, alumni, strategic partners and supporters for their financial and moral support, which he said contributed significantly to the success of the "Feed the Needy" project.
Sunusi also reaffirmed the chapter's commitment to implementing impactful humanitarian initiatives, developing young leaders and sustaining the culture of excellence that has once again placed Nasarawa State University, Keffi, on the national stage.

The university said the achievement further strengthens NSUK's growing record of student accomplishments and reflects its commitment to producing socially responsible leaders dedicated to positive change.
