Joseph Ayo Babalola University Appoints Prof Anthony Adegbulugbe as New Chancellor

The Chief Executive of Green Energy Limited, Prof Anthony Adegbulugbe, has been appointed as the third Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University. The university, founded in 2004 under the guidance of the Christ Apostolic Church, will officially install Prof Adegbulugbe on Friday, December 8.
The distinguished Chancellor, an ordained Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, brings a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, nationally and internationally. Notably, his contributions to climate change assessments played a pivotal role in securing the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

The appointment marks a significant milestone for JABU, which stands at the historic site where Apostle Babalola answered the divine call to confront the Ogobungo monster in 1928.
Previous Chancellors include Oba Oladele Olashore and Pastor Oluwawemimo Odunaiya, both notable figures in their respective fields. Adegbulugbe's recognition extends beyond this appointment, having received the University Award of Excellence in Research Practice from Obafemi Awolowo University last June.
