KASU and FRSC to Collaborate on Human Capital Development

On Wednesday, 10th July 2024, the Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, paid a congratulatory and collaborative courtesy visit to the newly appointed Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, at the office headquarters in Abuja.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the Corps Marshal on his recent appointment. He expressed confidence in the Corps Marshal's leadership and his ability to drive the mandate of enhancing road safety in Nigeria. The Vice-Chancellor also expressed the university's desire to explore opportunities for mutual benefit between Kaduna State University and the Federal Road Safety Corps, aimed at improving human capacity development.

In his response, the Corps Marshal expressed his gratitude for the Vice-Chancellor's visit. He acknowledged the valuable contributions that KASU has made in the field of research and education and expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the University in the areas of capacity building training, joint research, seminars, conferences, and public awareness campaigns, among others.

The Vice-Chancellor and the Corps Marshal expressed their readiness to work closely to translate the discussion into reality. They also agreed to maintain regular communication and follow up on the next steps to ensure the successful implementation of the joint activities.

The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Strategy, Innovation and Service Delivery, Prof. Helen Afang Andow, the Registrar, Barr. Samira Balarabe, the Director of University Advancement, Mal. Usman Tabari, and the Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor on Business Development, Dr. Abubakar Skippo Abdullahi.
