KHAIRUN Strengthens Academic Excellence Through Capacity Building Workshop

In its continuous efforts toward capacity building and professional development of its academic workforce, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), through its Seminar and Public Lecture Committee, on Wednesday, 15th October, 2025, organized a one-day workshop for all academic staff of the University.

The workshop, titled “The Tripartite Roles of Teaching, Grading, and Reporting,” was aimed at enhancing academic effectiveness, improving teaching delivery, and reinforcing institutional standards and expectations.

The session was facilitated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, mnae, mnla, ICASSON, fipbdm, who led participants through an engaging and insightful discussion on the essential responsibilities of lecturers in ensuring academic excellence and integrity.

Throughout the full-day engagement, participants explored best practices in teaching methodologies, transparent grading systems, and effective academic reporting. The workshop also featured interactive segments and group discussions that allowed staff to share experiences and reflect on strategies to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes within the university.

In his remarks, Prof. Garba emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism, accountability, and consistency in academic operations. He highlighted that the workshop aligns with KHAIRUN’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and quality assurance across all faculties.

The event marks another significant step by the university management in its mission to build a competent, motivated, and result oriented academic community capable of delivering world-class education and research.
