LAUTECH Hosts Leadership Workshop to Strengthen Administrative Competence

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, represented at the event by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Innovations), Professor Dauda Araromi, explained that the workshop marks the beginning of a series of periodic brainstorming sessions among the University’s leadership to reassess progress and enhance institutional effectiveness.
Professor Kalilu highlighted that such workshops would become regular features going forward, stressing the importance of active learning, research engagement, and leadership development in modern university administration. He encouraged participants to be proactive, forward-looking, and to cultivate leadership qualities through consistent participation in such initiatives.
He also urged attendees to adopt exemplary leadership models, asserting that the cultivation of good leadership is essential to advancing the University’s mission and sustaining its academic pre-eminence.
In her welcome address, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Professor Adenike Olugbenga Bello, commended the organisers for the timely programme, describing it as a vital tool for promoting quality leadership within the University’s administrative system.
