Brig-Gen. Muhamed Buba Marwa, Chairman/CEO of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Lagos State Commissioner of Police Adegoke Fayoade, and University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor Professor Kayode Oyebode Adebowale were among the dignitaries honored at the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos State Chapter’s 2024 event on Sports Diplomacy, Sports Security, Food, and Health.

Deputy Commander Chinyerem Eziaghhihala of NDLEA Lagos State Command delivered a lecture on the dangers of illicit drugs, emphasizing their prevalence and the shame they bring to athletes who use them.

Commissioner of Police Fayoade discussed the successful history of police sportsmen and the dangers of drug use, while Dr. Oluyemisi F. Folasire from the University of Ibadan concluded with a lecture on dietetics, condemning doping as pure cheating.
