 In a move to enhance its research ecosystem and academic oversight, the management of Mekelle University (MU) held a high-level leadership meeting on Monday, January 5, 2026.

The session, hosted at the Office of the Vice President for Research and Community Engagement (VPRCE), focused on critical administrative reforms and the modernization of doctoral programs.

The meeting brought together the university's top management, including deans, deputy deans, and directors of academic and research units, to align on the institution's strategic direction for the 2026 academic year.
