NECO Denies Extension of Closing Date for SSCE Internal Registration
NECO emphasized that the closing date remains unchanged and that late registration, subject to a late registration fee, will be accepted from Tuesday, 4th June 2024, to Monday, 10th June 2024.

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has clarified that there is no extension to the closing date for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal registration. The registration, which commenced on Monday, 18th December 2023, is set to close on Monday, 3rd June 2024.
NECO emphasized that the closing date remains unchanged and that late registration, subject to a late registration fee, will be accepted from Tuesday, 4th June 2024, to Monday, 10th June 2024.

In a statement issued by the acting Director of the Directorate of Information, Honorable Digital Communication, Azeez Sani, NECO urged candidates, school Principals, Commandants, State Ministries of Education, and other stakeholders to disregard any social media posts claiming an extension of the registration period to Monday, 20th June 2024.
Furthermore, NECO confirmed that the 2024 SSCE Internal examination is scheduled to commence on 19th June 2024 and conclude on 26th July 2024, with candidates being assessed in 76 subjects.
