Niger SUBEB, IBBUL Emter into Collaboration on Capacity Building for Teachers

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai has entered into collaborate with Niger State Universal Basic Education on capacity building for teachers to boost Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The Vice Chancellor,  University, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu made this known when he received in audience the Chairman Niger State Universal Basic Education Board, Malam Mohammed Baba Ibrahim in his office.

He congratulated the Chairman and his Management team for their well deserved appointments and assured them of the University community's support towards improving basic education in the State.

Professor  Adamu commended the Chairman for opening up and seeking the support of the University and reiterated the need for basic education to succeed.

The Vice Chancellor maintained  that the collaboration would translate into the development of Niger State as a whole.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Board, Malam Mohammed Baba Ibrahim noted that, the team was around to cement the collaboration with the University to have a diagnostic review of the Agency in identifying its areas of challenges and properly prescribe solution that will reposition basic education sub-sector in the State.

He maintained that the low quality of education  children from schools is disturbing, noting that a means of teaching them differently through enhancing the capacity of teachers in an innovative manner was necessary.

Malam Baba Ibrahim further stressed that, the State has huge potentials which requires adequate manpower to manage it. 

The Chairman and his team had interacted with the STEM project technical team led by its Global Leader, Professor Nuhu Obaje.
