The Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) recently held its 5th Tech Council meeting at its Apapa Campus, bringing together industry leaders to discuss strategic plans for the institution’s future.

The Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) recently hosted its 5th Tech Council meeting at its Apapa Campus, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss strategic plans for the institution’s future.
The meeting, which took place last week, focused on key areas such as curriculum relevance, program delivery, and industry partnerships across NUTM’s undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs. Council members were also briefed on the university’s progress and deliberated on strategies to further strengthen its academic and technological impact.
The event saw the participation of prominent figures in the technology and business sectors, including Dr. Ayotunde Coker, CEO of Open Access Data Centre; Mrs. Ola Williams, CEO of Microsoft Nigeria; Mr. John Obaro, CEO of SystemSpecs; Dr. Omobola Johnson, Senior Partner at TLCom Capital; and Mr. Collins Onuegbu, Chairman of Signal Alliance. Also in attendance were Mrs. Bunmi Ajiboye, Chief of Staff at the Office of ED/COO, Sterling Bank; Mr. Yomi Awobokun, CEO of Certainty in Venture Investing; Mr. Olaniyi Yusuf, Managing Partner at Verraki; and Kola Aina, Founding Partner at Ventures Platform.
Other distinguished attendees included Juliet Ehimuan, Founder of Beyond Limits; Karl Toriola, CEO/MD of MTN Nigeria; Odunayo Eweniyi, Cofounder/COO of Piggyvest; Austin Okere, Founder of CWG Plc; Dipo Faulkner, Vice President of Technology Software - Africa at Oracle; Ade Bayomo, President of FinTech NGR; and NUTM President, Babs Omotowa.
The Tech Council plays a critical role in guiding NUTM’s vision of becoming a world-class institution for technology and management education in Nigeria.
