NSUK’s Alhaji Umar Shehu Elected National Chairman of CSPGCS

In a landmark achievement for Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Alhaji Umar Shehu, Secretary of the School of Postgraduate Studies, has been elected National Chairman of the Committee of Secretaries of Postgraduate Colleges and Schools of Nigerian Universities (CSPGCS).
The election took place during the Committee’s 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 5th Workshop, hosted by Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, which brought together administrative heads of postgraduate schools from universities nationwide.
Alhaji Umar Shehu emerged victorious following a closely contested election, reflecting the confidence of his peers in his leadership, administrative expertise, and professional competence. His appointment highlights NSUK’s growing prominence in the national academic administration landscape.
The CSPGCS serves as the professional body for chief administrative officers of postgraduate institutions in Nigeria, with mandates that include standardizing administrative processes, enhancing service delivery for postgraduate students, and fostering collaboration among Nigerian universities in line with global academic standards.
Alhaji Umar Shehu’s election is expected to further strengthen cooperation among postgraduate schools and deepen institutional synergy between NSUK and other universities across the country.
