NUC Approves 13 New Graduate and Undergraduate Programs for KWASU
These programs are set to commence full-time in the 2024/2025 academic session. Prof. Shaykh-Luqman expressed gratitude to NUC for the approval and acknowledged the support of the state government in achieving this milestone.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval to Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, for the implementation of 13 new undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the Acting Director of University Relations at KWASU, announced that the approval was conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh Shaykh-Luqman, through a letter signed by Abubakar Girei, the Acting Director of Academic Planning at NUC.

Of the approved programs, two are at the undergraduate level, namely Bachelors in Health Information Management and B.Sc. Development Studies. The remaining eleven programs are postgraduate programs, including LL.M and Ph.D. in Common Law, LL.M. and Ph.D. in Islamic Law, and M.LIS and Ph.D. Library and Information Science.
