Prof. Innocent Ujah Reinstated as Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of FUHSO

The Federal Ministry of Education has ordered the reinstatement of Prof. Innocent Achanya Otobo Ujah, mni, OON, NPOM, as the Pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo (FUHSO). This decision follows the suspension of Prof. Ujah by the 2nd Council of the university, a move which the Ministry determined was not fully compliant with statutory guidelines.

In an official communication dated November 1, 2024, addressed to the Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of the FUHSO Governing Council, the Ministry expressed concerns over the procedures that led to the suspension and highlighted the importance of adhering strictly to established university regulations. The reinstatement aims to restore peace and proper administration within the university while the process for appointing a substantive Vice-Chancellor continues.
