Rivers State NYSC Coordinator Commends Corps Members' Engagement in SAED In-Camp Training
The Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. George Mfongang, expressed his profound fulfillment with the corps members' active participation in the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) in-camp training.
The Rivers State NYSC Coordinator, Mr. George Mfongang, expressed his profound fulfillment with the corps members' active participation in the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) in-camp training. His remarks were delivered during the SAED closing ceremony and exhibition for the 2024 Batch B Stream II orientation exercise, held on September 14, 2024.
Addressing the corps members, Mr. Mfongang praised their "huge interest, enthusiasm, passion, and commitment" throughout the nine-day training. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the same level of dedication as they transition to their post-camp training. “I am truly fulfilled by your active engagement,” he said. “Your participation in this program not only enhances your skills but also positions you to improve your economic fortunes.”
Mr. Mfongang also highlighted the vast opportunities within the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector, urging the corps members to tap into these potentials. “There are numerous untapped opportunities in the SME sector,” he stated, challenging them to maximize these prospects as they continue their journey beyond camp.
In her address, the NYSC SAED Officer for Rivers State, Mrs. Caroline Chukwu, extended her heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Mfongang and the camp officials for their exceptional support. She praised their collective efforts in ensuring the success of the training program and emphasized the importance of continued commitment. “I urge you to maintain your dedication and enthusiasm as you perfect your skills during the post-camp phase,” Mrs. Chukwu advised. She also reassured the corps members that their Local Government Inspectors (LGIs), Zonal Inspectors (ZIs), and the SAED Schedule Officer are always available to support them in achieving their entrepreneurial dreams through the SAED platform.
The ceremony also featured the inter-platoon SAED competition, with 5 Platoon emerging as the overall best platoon. The competition showcased the various skills and innovations developed by the corps members during the training.
The closing ceremony was attended by eminent camp officials, who witnessed firsthand the impressive displays of creativity and skill by the corps members.
