The announcement was made during Akpabio's visit to the Nigeria Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies in Abuja, where he highlighted the significance of the Student Loan Bill passed by the tenth Assembly.

In a statement delivered on Tuesday, Akpabio emphasized the transformative impact of the legislation, aimed at providing educational opportunities for vulnerable and less privileged students across Nigeria.
"One of the most significant bills to come before the tenth Assembly was the Student Loan Bill initiated by President Bola Tinubu. This legislation is a pivotal step towards enabling Nigerian students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to access higher education," stated Senate President Akpabio.
