The Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, has reaffirmed that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration places education at the heart of Anambra State’s development agenda.

Speaking on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre, Awka, during the Tertiary Education Stakeholders Summit themed “Education and Sustainable Development in Nigeria: Why Anambra Must Remain Focused,” Prof. Omenugha emphasized that no conversation about the future of education in the state can be complete without referencing the Governor’s leadership and academic background.

According to her, Prof. Soludo’s track record as a scholar and reform-minded leader continues to shape his administration’s strategic interventions in tertiary and higher education across the state. Prof. Omenugha further called for unity and support among education stakeholders, stressing that sustaining quality education in Anambra requires alignment with a leader who both understands and has been shaped by the academic system.
