TRCN Inducts 425 MOUAU Graduates

The Teachers' Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has inducted 425 graduates of education from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), marking a significant milestone for these future educators. These graduates successfully passed the rigorous certification examination administered by the Council, solidifying their readiness to enter the teaching profession.
During the induction ceremony, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Owe, Vice-Chancellor of MOUAU, underscored the necessity of evolving teacher training to meet the demands of the 21st century. He emphasized that modern teachers must be proficient in technology, possess critical thinking skills, and exhibit effective communication and emotional intelligence to navigate today’s complex educational landscape. Prof. Owe encouraged the new teachers to continuously expand their knowledge and stay updated with global educational trends, asserting that the role of teachers remains crucial even with the rise of Artificial Intelligence.

Ajiboye, the Registrar of TRCN, represented by Dr. Okunlola Abimbola, Director of Regulation, Accreditation and Enforcement at TRCN, praised the graduates for their dedication and hard work.
