Under the theme “Preventing Antimicrobial Resistance Together”, the event attracted a substantial audience comprising students, faculty, and other participants invested in the issue.
Acknowledging the role played by the Antimicrobial Stewardship Subcommittee in organizing the event, Prof. Darlington Obaseki, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, expressed his sincere appreciation for their efforts in his address as he briefly talked onAnti--microbial resistance.
Distinguished guest speakers contributed to the event, delivering informative presentations on various facets of antimicrobial resistance. Prof. Cyprian Oshomah elaborated on "Antimicrobial Resistance: What about the Environment?" shedding light on the interconnection between environmental factors and the rise of antimicrobial resistance.
