However, residents of the hostel have shared their experiences, attributing the nickname to the inadequate water supply, which often leads to misunderstandings among residents.

Barakah Jimoh Omotayo, a 400-level student of English and Literary Studies, highlighted the water scarcity issue, stating that the provided water taps are insufficient for the over 500 students living in the hostel. Miranda Billy Joe, another resident, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the water problem is the sole reason for the hostel's negative reputation.

An anonymous resident shared a humorous experience of breaking her fast during Ramadan earlier than expected due to a misunderstanding caused by the water scarcity. The residents unanimously agreed that the hostel is not a "House of Trouble" but rather a vibrant and loving community hindered by water challenges.

The students appealed to the school management to address the water scarcity issue, prioritizing students' welfare and ensuring a comfortable living environment.
