The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the reappointment of three distinguished professors as Directors of some of its key institutes.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, approved the appointments as follows:

  • Prof. Risikat O. Dauda of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences — reappointed as Director, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), effective August 16, 2025 to August 15, 2027.
  • Prof. Obichere C. Iwuagwu of the Department of History & Strategic Studies, Faculty of Arts — reappointed as Director, Confucius Institute (CI), effective September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2027.
  • Prof. Abigail O. Ogwezzy-Ndisika of the Faculty of Mass Communication — reappointed as Director, Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), effective September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2027.
