Honourable Sunday Adepoju, member of the TETFund Board of Trustees representing the South West, has assured the Management of the University of Ibadan (UI) of his commitment to facilitating the completion of all outstanding TETFund projects at the institution.

The pledge was made during a meeting with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Peter O. Olapegba, who spoke on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale. Hon. Adepoju emphasized that his role on the TETFund Board is to ensure that South West institutions maximize benefits from TETFund interventions.
Professor Olapegba clarified that UI has no abandoned projects, only distressed projects delayed due to factors such as exchange rate fluctuations, natural causes, or contractor defaults. He noted that some projects have been re-scoped and are slated for completion shortly. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor requested that Hon. Adepoju leverage his position to ensure the completion of remaining projects and to facilitate additional projects for the University.
He also expressed gratitude to TETFund for its consistent support, which has significantly enhanced the University’s infrastructure.

During the visit, Hon. Adepoju inspected several project sites and was accompanied by Engr. Dr. Taiwo Luqman Adedeji, Zonal Coordinator of TETFund projects in the South West, and Mrs. Maria Joseph, Information Officer.
