University of Maiduguri: End of 2022/2023 Academic Session - Final Vacation Notice

As the curtains draw on the 2022/2023 academic session at the University of Maiduguri, the Student Affairs Division extends its gratitude to the Almighty Allah for the successful completion of the session.

In a notice dated 18th December 2023, addressed to all students, the Student Affairs Division announced the immediate vacation of the halls of residence, effective today, Monday, 18th December 2023.

Students are advised to complete the following tasks before vacating the campus for the long holiday:

Return University mattresses.

Surrender room keys.

Hand over any other University property in their possession.

Moreover, students are reminded to remove all personal belongings from the hostel premises. The notice emphasizes that no responsibility will be shouldered by University staff for any loss or damage to personal property left behind in the hostel.

Additionally, students are urged to ensure the responsible use of University property by switching off all wall sockets, switches, and fans before departing from their rooms.

For students continuing academic pursuits during the vacation, requests for temporary hostel accommodations must be forwarded by their respective Heads of Departments to the Dean, Students Affairs Division.
