University of Mkar, Mkar Alumni Abuja Chapter Announces New Executive Committee

The University of Mkar, Mkar (UMM)Alumni Abuja Chapter has announced the formation of a new Executive Committee (Exco) following the dissolution of the interim leadership. In a heartfelt message, Comr. Daniel Tsaker, the outgoing interim chairman and spokesperson, expressed gratitude to the members and highlighted the achievements made during his tenure.

"On behalf of the dissolved interim Exco, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to serve as your interim chairman and spokesperson. Your support and engagement have been invaluable," said Tsaker. He extended special thanks to all Exco members for their dedication and sacrifice of time and resources.

During the interim Exco's tenure, several significant milestones were achieved:

1. Uniting the chapter and bringing together over 200 members in a WhatsApp group.

2. Establishing bylaws to guide the chapter's day-to-day activities.

3. Providing opportunities for career advancement and job placements for members.

4. Offering financial support to members in need.

5. Initiating a membership subscription plan, generating income for the Abuja hub with over 65 registered members.

6. Leaving a sum of N150,000 in the chapter account, among other achievements.

The new Exco, formed as of June 3rd, 2024, comprises the following members:

1. Hosea Agbo - Chairman

2. Benedicta Adyo - Vice Chairperson

3. Herbert Amodu - General Secretary

4. Princess Mimi - Treasurer

5. Annabelle Anamdoo - Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Tsaker congratulated the new Exco, entrusting them with the mandate to further organize the alumni, create more value for members, establish a corporate account for the chapter, develop the chapter and its members, host more events, and conduct an election within the next year.

"Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve. We officially dissolve our interim Exco to pave the way for the new leadership to thrive," Tsaker concluded.

The University of Mkar, Mkar (UMM) Alumni Abuja Chapter looks forward to continued growth and development under the new leadership, building on the solid foundation laid by the interim Exco.
