Prince Abubakar Audu University Prof. Marietu Tenuche Mourns Dr. B.E. Agbana, Prof. Marietu expressed the deepest regrets and condolences of the University to the family of the late Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Busayo Emmanuel Agbana, over the sad of event of his demise.

Prince Abubakar Audu University  Prof. Marietu Tenuche Mourns Dr. B.E. Agbana, Prof. Marietu expressed the deepest regrets and condolences of the University to the family of the late Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Busayo Emmanuel Agbana, over the sad of event of his demise.

The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche, has expressed the deepest regrets and condolences of the University to the family of the late Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Busayo Emmanuel Agbana, over the sad of event of his demise.

The Vice-Chancellor said the demise of Dr. Agbana was a huge blow to the entire University, considering the invaluable role he had played over the years in ensuring the actualisation of the growth of the University.

Professor Tenuche particularly recalled the profound sense of professionalism, excellent spirit of human relations and exemplary commitment to duties which she said the late medical consultant and academic brought to bear while he served as Director, Health Services Unit and as Provost of the College of Health Sciences of the University.

The Vice-Chancellor also recalled the initiative, resourcefulness and diligence of the deceased which she stressed, contributed immensely to the establishment of five new programmes in the College of Health Sciences.

She, therefore, on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff and students of the University, expressed the deepest shock and regrets of the University on the untimely demise of Dr Agbana, adding that he would be sorely missed.

She prayed God to grant the sole of the deceased a peaceful repose and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Born in Ilorin, Kwara State on 8th April, 1976, the late Dr Busayo E. Agbana hailed from Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

He obtained his MBBS from the University of Ilorin in 2003, and joined the services of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, as a Medical Officer in 2006.

Dr Agbana who was a Fellow of the West African College of Physician and Consultant in Community Medicine, served as Director of Health Services Unit of the University for many years.

He was, until his death, the Provost of the College of Health Sciences of the University.
