The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin (FUEP), Professor Noel Nen’man Ndalbeh Wannang, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the institution into one of Nigeria’s top 10 universities through strategic local partnerships and infrastructural excellence.

In a series of high-level diplomatic visits on Monday, Professor Wannang led the university’s management team to engage with key traditional and political stakeholders to foster a collaborative environment for the institution’s growth.

Professor Wannang, the university’s first substantive Vice Chancellor, emphasized his "son of the soil" commitment to leaving a lasting legacy. He lauded the paramount ruler’s pivotal role in the institution’s successful transition to a Federal University and called for the continued support of the Ngas Nation and local philanthropists.

Responding, HRM Nde Jika Golit expressed his full support for the management team, pledging that the traditional council would "jealously protect" the university and assist in its infrastructural evolution.

In a separate engagement, the university management met with the Executive Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Council, Hon. Felix A. Gonung.

The outreach highlights FUEP’s proactive strategy to integrate community support with academic ambition. By aligning with both the traditional custodians of the land and the local administration, Professor Wannang aims to fast-track the university’s development as a premier hub for teacher education in West Africa.
