Zamfara Governor Offers Full Scholarships to 30 Gifted Students, Emphasizes Education Reforms

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has awarded full scholarships to 30 gifted students from Zamfara at the Federal Government Academy, Suleja. The announcement was made during a gathering at the Government House, where the students were hosted alongside the leadership of the Muhammad Kabir Danbaba Centre for Women and Youth Development.

Governor Lawal highlighted the role of the Muhammad Kabir Danbaba Centre in contributing to Zamfara's top performance in the National Examination Council (NECO) entrance exams for gifted students. Many of these high achievers were from public schools.

In his address, Governor Lawal praised the students and their families, stating, "Your remarkable performance shows that our educational reforms are bearing fruit." He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to educational improvement, citing the ongoing renovation of over 300 schools and teacher training initiatives.

Lawal shared his personal experience with public education and announced that the scholarships would cover all expenses for the students, ensuring no financial burden on their families. He pledged continued support for educational advancements in Zamfara.

Earlier, Alhaji Sarkin Pawa Malami, Chairman of the Muhammad Kabir Danbaba Centre, outlined the centre’s contributions and proposed further enhancements to government operations.
