Achievers University Appoints Mr. Sulaiman Adebayo Olagunju as Fourth Registrar
The Governing Council of Achievers University has announced the appointment of Mr. Sulaiman Adebayo Olagunju as the fourth Registrar of the University, following its 40th meeting on Thursday, 6th November 2025.
The Governing Council of Achievers University has announced the appointment of Mr. Sulaiman Adebayo Olagunju as the fourth Registrar of the University, following its 40th meeting on Thursday, 6th November 2025.
Mr. Olagunju’s appointment underscores the Council’s confidence in his capacity to lead the Registry and oversee administrative operations during a period of institutional growth and transformation.
He joined Achievers University on 2nd May 2008 as Senior Assistant Registrar (Media)/Public Relations Officer, shortly after the University began academic activities. Over the years, he has held multiple key administrative roles, including Senior Assistant Registrar/College Secretary (College of Social and Management Sciences), Principal Assistant Registrar/Secretary (School of Postgraduate Studies), and, in 2019, a position in the main Registry. In October 2020, he was promoted to Deputy Registrar.
Before joining Achievers University, Mr. Olagunju served in the Federal Civil Service, including teaching at the Air Force Secondary School, Ikeja, and in the media industry at Tell Communications Ltd, publishers of Tell Magazine, where he became Head of Copy Desk
.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Language Arts (English) from the University of Ilorin (1991), a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos (1993), and a Master of Science in Mass Communication (Public Relations) from Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo (2013). He is also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
The Management, staff, and students of Achievers University have extended their congratulations to Mr. Olagunju and expressed optimism that his leadership will strengthen the Registry’s service delivery, enhance stakeholder collaboration, and further improve the University’s administrative systems.
