Anambra State Govt Launches Phase II of the 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution Initiative

Anambra State Government has launched Phase II of the 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution Initiative, aimed at empowering youths with essential skills to combat hunger and drive sustainable development. Following Phase I, which trained 5,000 youths, the new phase seeks to further establish Anambra as a premier skills hub.

Anambra State Government has officially launched Phase II of the 1 Youth 2 Skills Solution Initiative, aimed at empowering the youth with vital skills to combat hunger and drive sustainable change.

Governor C. C. Soludo, CFR, announced the new phase with a commitment to transform Anambra into a leading skills hub. “Our goal is to empower our youth sustainably by equipping them with relevant skills that will help eradicate hunger and bring about lasting change,” Soludo stated.

Phase I of the initiative successfully trained 5,000 youths in various vocational skills, including through the “Igba Boi” apprenticeship/mentorship program. Many of these trainees have become self-sufficient and are now creating employment opportunities for others.

“We prioritize human capital development because our children and youth represent the future,” Soludo emphasized. The initiative aims to provide skills that are both employable and exportable, supporting the youth of Anambra in taking control of their futures.
