Federal Ministry of Finance in Collaboration with YOUWIN Department Organizes Lecture for BOSU Students on Entrepreneurship
The Federal Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the YOUWIN Department, has organized a special lecture for students of Borno State University (BOSU) aimed at promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship among young Nigerians.
Speaking during the event, the consultant from the YOUWIN Department, Mr. Noah Moses, stated that they were in BOSU to educate students on how to design and prepare effective business plans for the YOUWIN program. He explained that YOUWIN Connect is a multimedia enterprise education initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria, implemented through the Ministry of Finance. The program is designed to promote entrepreneurship among young Nigerians by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan, start, and grow their businesses.
In his remarks, the entrepreneurship lecturer from the BOSU Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. Buba Pulka, urged students to be proactive and embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to building successful careers. He emphasized the need for students to develop innovative ideas and take advantage of opportunities provided by programs like YOUWIN.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the BOSU Registrar, Mrs. Jallab M. Sheikh, who appreciated the Ministry of Finance and the YOUWIN consultants for their unwavering support and for designing this special program tailored to BOSU students.
In his closing remarks, the Vice Chancellor of Borno State University, Professor Babagana Gutti, described entrepreneurship as a noble and rewarding venture. He encouraged students to approach the BOSU Centre for Entrepreneurship with their ideas, assuring them that the university is ready to provide all necessary support to help them develop and bring their business ideas to life.
