FUNAAB Concludes Week-Long Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Staff

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Babatunde Kehinde, the Director of the Centre of Excellence in Agricultural Development and Sustainable Environment (CEADESE), Prof. Adeboye Fafiolu, commended staff for their active participation and commitment. He emphasised that digital literacy is increasingly essential in modern university operations, warning that those who fail to adopt digital skills risk being left behind in an evolving academic landscape.
The Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the challenges adult learners often face when adapting to new technologies, praising the participants for their resilience and eagerness to engage with the programme. The modules delivered by the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) were described as timely, practical, and highly relevant to enhancing productivity.
Participants, including Mrs. Oluwaseun Okeleye, Prof. Olusegun Oladoye, Dr. Adenike Olaleye, and Mr. Israel Olaoye, expressed gratitude to FUNAAB and DBI for creating a conducive learning environment, highlighting the transformative nature of the training.

Mr. Soji Fagbemi, Head of DBI, commended the trainees’ dedication and encouraged them to apply their newly acquired digital skills to drive institutional growth. He also praised FUNAAB management for its consistent support and collaboration.
The Director of the Directorate of Academic Planning, Prof. Olajide Sogunle, underscored the importance of the FUNAAB–DBI partnership, advocating for the programme’s institutionalisation and expansion to benefit more staff in future editions.
The closing ceremony culminated in the presentation of certificates to all participants, marking the successful conclusion of a highly impactful and skill-enhancing initiative.
