In response, students held a protest demanding immediate reforms.

On June 19, 2024, a 100-level student from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management tragically passed away at the FUNAAB Health Centre around 10:00 pm. Eyewitnesses report that the circumstances surrounding the student's death remain unclear, prompting calls for a thorough investigation.

In a related incident, another student who fainted at 1:00 pm was brought to the Health Centre but remained unattended until 6:50 pm. Reports indicate that the student was advised to rest and wait for the night duty doctor, which has sparked outrage among the student body and staff. This delay in medical attention has raised significant concerns regarding the level of care and responsiveness of the Health Centre.
