KHAIRUN to Partner with White Home Vocational Training Centre on Free Skills Empowerment Programme

Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), on Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 received a delegation from the White Home Vocational Training Centre as part of efforts to foster community empowerment and capacity building through strategic partnerships.

The visiting team, led by Rahima Nasir Mu’azu, expressed appreciation for the warm reception at the university and commended KHAIRUN for its commitment to academic and social development. She highlighted the centre’s ongoing initiatives, which focus on offering free vocational skills training to women in areas such as cooking, tailoring, and perfume production, among others. She also conveyed the centre’s interest in collaborating with KHAIRUN and sought the approval of the Vice-Chancellor to organize a free training session for women and students within the university.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of KHAIRUN, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, welcomed the delegation with gratitude and expressed his delight over the proposed collaboration. He gave immediate approval for the training and assured the university’s readiness to support such impactful initiatives. The Vice-Chancellor further advised on the need to formalize the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to ensure sustainability and mutual benefit.
