CSPGCS Delegation Visits AKSU VC Ahead of 2026 AGM and Workshop
A delegation from the Committee of Secretaries of Postgraduate Colleges and Schools in Nigerian Universities (CSPGCS) paid a courtesy visit to Acting Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Professor Otoabasi E. Akpan, on Monday, 2 February 2026, at the University’s Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin.
A delegation from the Committee of Secretaries of Postgraduate Colleges and Schools in Nigerian Universities (CSPGCS) paid a courtesy visit to Acting Vice-Chancellor of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU), Professor Otoabasi E. Akpan, on Monday, 2 February 2026, at the University’s Main Campus, Ikot Akpaden, Mkpat Enin.
The visit was in preparation for the upcoming 3rd Annual General Meeting and 5th Workshop of CSPGCS, themed “Enhancing Quality Service Delivery in Postgraduate Administration for Nigerian Universities”, scheduled for 3–6 February 2026 at AKSU.
Welcoming the delegation, Prof. Akpan expressed delight at hosting the national event and assured full support from the University Management to ensure its success. He noted that the AGM and Workshop align with AKSU’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement in postgraduate education and administration.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, CSPGCS Chairman Dr. Titilayo Owolabi of Babcock University commended AKSU for hosting the event and outlined the objectives and expected outcomes of the AGM and Workshop.
In his vote of thanks, AKSU Registrar and Secretary to Council and Senate, Dr. Ebi G. Eno-Ibanga, FNIM, reaffirmed the University’s readiness to deliver a smooth and impactful programme. A highlight of the visit was the presentation of souvenirs to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal Officers of AKSU.

Ibok; Bursar, Dr. Jacobs Eseneyen; University Librarian, Prof. Nse E. Akwang; Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Idongesit O. Isaac; Director and Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Mrs. Immaculata Effiong; Head of Administration, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Suen Lawal; and staff of the Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Protocol.
CSPGCS delegation members included: Vice-Chairman, Kantoma L. Bala; Hon. Secretary, Mrs. Folashade Oruogn; Auditor, Dr. Albi-Oparaocha; Treasurer, Mrs. Mfon A. Udom; Financial Secretary, Dr. Hass W. Tawks; and Assistant Secretary, Mrs. Rashida Haruna.
The event strengthened collaboration between AKSU and CSPGCS, setting the stage for a successful national gathering on postgraduate administration best practices.
