Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed its commitment to alleviating the economic burden on Lagosians, particularly public servants. On Monday, the state delivered a food palliative, known as ‘Ounje Eko,’ to the staff of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

The Governor’s Monitoring Team on Food Palliative, led by Rev. Dr. Stephen Oyinlola, presented the food items to the management of LASUTH. The initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to support public servants during challenging economic times.

Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, Chief Medical Director (CMD) of LASUTH, expressed gratitude on behalf of the hospital staff. “This gesture from the State Government shows that we have a supportive Governor who cares. This palliative will be distributed among the staff according to the directive of Mr. Governor,” he said.

The palliative package includes essential food items such as Spaghetti, Semolina flour, Sugar, Butter, Noodles, and Wheat flour. These items are intended to provide immediate relief and support to the hospital staff, ensuring their well-being as they continue to serve the public.

The delivery of ‘Ounje Eko’ underscores Governor Sanwo-Olu's commitment to the welfare of public servants and the broader Lagosian community. The initiative has been well-received, highlighting the government's proactive approach to addressing the needs of its citizens during economic hardships.
