Mother of Slain Ajayi Crowther Student in Coma, Activist Urges Justice

An activist from Itsekiri in the Warri Kingdom, Delta State, has disclosed that Princess Antonia, the mother of a student from Ajayi Crowther who was reportedly killed by a fellow student, is presently in a coma in the hospital, consumed by grief and agony following the loss of her only child.

The activist, known as "Lord of Warri, shared this information in a post on X (Twitter) on Thursday.

The activist also called on the Oyo State government, the Oyo State Police, and Governor Seyi Makinde to ensure that justice prevails and those accountable for Alex’s death are brought to justice. 

In his words, “Princess Antonia Emiko, mother of the late Prince Alex Timileyin, urgently needs your prayers. She is hospitalized in a coma, overwhelmed with insurmountable pain and sorrow.

“The connection between a mother and her child is indestructible, and the tragic loss of her only son has left her devastated.

This news follows the arraignment of 25 students from Ajayi Crowther University in court in relation to Alex’s murder. Reports indicate that Timileyi was beaten to death inside a hostel known as Shepherd Inn on the school grounds by a group of other students for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
