Newgate University, Minna has concluded the Advanced Digital Empowerment Programme for Tertiary Institutions (ADEPTI), a five-day digital capacity initiative organised by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and delivered by the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI).

The programme brought together academic and non-academic staff in an intensive learning environment designed to strengthen digital capability for teaching, research, and administrative functions.
The Centre Coordinator, Engr. Alexandra H. Tsado, provided leadership throughout the training, ensuring seamless coordination and active participation. Facilitators Prof. Samuel Olanrewaju and Dr. Bello Akanbi led practical, engaging sessions that exposed participants to contemporary digital tools and applications essential for modern higher education operations.

During the closing session, the Vice-Chancellor emphasised the alignment between the training and the institution’s strategic vision. He noted that the initiative would accelerate the University’s drive toward building a technologically competitive and innovation-led academic environment, stating that the programme reinforces the University’s ambition for stronger and smarter institutional collaborations.
The involvement of the NCC and DBI, alongside the dedication of the facilitators and the commitment of participating staff, underscored the University’s sustained focus on innovation, continuous professional development, and academic excellence.
