Nnamdi Azikiwe University Vice-Chancellor Receives NEEDS Assessment Committee

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, received members of the NEEDS Assessment Committee in his office on Thursday, 20th November 2025, during a courtesy visit linked to their official assignment.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, received members of the NEEDS Assessment Committee in his office on Thursday, 20th November 2025, during a courtesy visit linked to their official assignment.

The committee, led by Dr. Austin Sado, explained that their visit was to assess the 2021 NEEDS Assessment projects at the university, which originated from initiatives by the unions. Dr. Sado noted the inactivity of the university’s Budget Monitoring Committee (BMC) and expressed hope for its revival. He also emphasized the importance of quality assurance in all university projects.

Responding, Professor Anyaehie assured the committee that his administration would safeguard the sustainability of all NEEDS Assessment projects and actively pursue rapid infrastructural development across the university.

Attendees included representatives of various university unions: Comrade Chukwugozie Ikegulu (NASU), Comrade Odili C.J. (Secretary, NASU), Comrade C.C. Eze (NAAT), Comrade Modesta Ubanwa (SSANU), and Comrade Victoria Orok. Also present were Engr. Raphael Okeke (Director of Physical Planning), Egbe Abigail R. (TETFund), Engr. Mustapha Ndogi, and Shehu A.M.
