Northwest University Kano Faculty of Education Holds Teaching Practice Orientation

The Faculty of Education at Northwest University Kano organized an orientation exercise for students embarking on their teaching practice (TP) for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The event, held at the university's main campus, aimed to equip students with essential skills, knowledge, and ethical guidelines for their teaching assignments.

In his opening remarks, Vice Chancellor Professor Mukhtar Atiku Kurawa urged TP students to serve as ambassadors of the university, emphasizing the importance of honesty, dedication, and professionalism. Registrar Adm. Isyaku Adamu encouraged students to "Learn and Impact," highlighting the need for continuous learning and making a meaningful difference in their teaching environments.

The orientation featured lectures by distinguished scholars and educators, covering aspects of teaching practice, including relevance, moral ethics, classroom management, lesson preparation, and instructional materials. The Faculty of Education reaffirmed its commitment to supporting students throughout their teaching practice and beyond, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the educational sector.
