Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has signed strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with its affiliate institutions, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth. The event took place on Thursday, 15th January 2026, and marks a major step in fostering collaborative frameworks for quality education.

Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Maikano Mohammed Ari, expressed appreciation to partner institutions for their commitment and lauded the leadership of the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) for ensuring the effective execution of the agreements. He described the MoUs as long-term strategic collaborations aimed at enhancing academic standards, promoting best practices, and ensuring sustainable institutional development.

In her remarks, Dean of SPGS, Prof. Abdullahi Adamu Sulaiman, thanked the Vice-Chancellor for her unwavering support and commended the affiliate institutions for their dedication to advancing education. She emphasized the role of the partnerships in improving quality assurance, admissions, examination conduct, capacity building, and the sharing of best academic practices.

Speaking for the affiliates, Dr. Hauwa Tanko Mohammed, Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, praised NSUK’s management for the warm reception and highlighted the workshop’s role in harmonizing MoU templates and formalizing the agreements. She assured that her institution, alongside other affiliates, would adhere strictly to NSUK’s rules, regulations, and quality standards.

In his vote of thanks, Registrar Dr. Bala I. Ahmed II urged affiliate institutions to comply with the terms of the MoUs and expressed optimism for productive and mutually beneficial partnerships.

The affiliate institutions involved include the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa; College of Agriculture Science and Technology, Lafia; FIDEI Polytechnic, Gboko; Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi; and the APUDI Institute of Peace Studies and Social Rehabilitation.

The occasion culminated with the formal signing of the MoUs and group photographs to commemorate the landmark collaboration.
