Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill these key administrative positions.
About Edo State University, Iyamho
EDSU was established by the Edo State Government to develop human capital through quality education, fostering social, economic, political, scientific, cultural, and industrial growth in Edo State, Nigeria, and globally.
1. Registrar
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, responsible for day-to-day administration (excluding financial matters), and serves as Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, and Convocation.
Eligibility/Requirements:
- Minimum of a good honours degree (2nd class lower) from a recognized university.
- 15 years post-qualification experience; higher degrees and professional memberships are advantageous.
- Must be Deputy Registrar or above, with at least 3 years in current rank.
- Maximum age: 60 years at assumption of duty.
- Strong leadership, management, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate and in excellent physical and mental health.
Terms of Service:
- Single term of five (5) years.
- Remuneration aligned with public university standards in Nigeria and determined by the Edo State Government/Governing Council.
2. Bursar
The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University, responsible for day-to-day management of finances, including treasury, budgets, income/expenditure, and financial reporting.
Eligibility/Requirements:
- Minimum of a good honours degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualifications required.
- Membership in ICAN or ANAN; additional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA are advantageous.
- 15 years post-qualification experience; Deputy Bursar or equivalent with at least 3 years in current rank.
- Maximum age: 60 years at appointment.
- Strong financial management, leadership, ICT proficiency, integrity, and team-building skills.
- Excellent physical and mental health.

- Single term of five (5) years.
- Remuneration aligned with public university standards in Nigeria and determined by the Edo State Government/Governing Council.
