The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has organized a training workshop for its Human Resource Management Schedule Officers.

Myschoolnews reports the officers were at the training charged to be more committed in the discharge of their duties in order to provide necessary guide to members of staff for optimum performance. 

This call was made by the Director General of the Scheme, Brigadier General YD Ahmed in his address at this year's training workshop for HRM Schedule Officers from the States and other NYSC formations across the country held in Abuja.

Represented by the Director, Human Resource Management, Hajiya Habiba Bappah, the Director General said as managers of human capital at various levels, HRM Schedule Officers must be well-informed about public service rules to be able to plan and achieve the overall organisational objectives of the Scheme.

In her welcome address, the Representative of Director, Human Resource Management, Hajiya A'isha Mohammed Tata disclosed that the workshop is one of the many innovative programmes outlined to empower staff to be updated on contemporary challenges in their schedules.

She stated further that the Scheme has initiated best staff award, briefing on Human Resource matters and continous training of all Schedule Officers nationwide.

A retired NYSC Director, Mr Igyuse Teryima delivered a lecture on the topic; "Rudiments and Applications of Public Service Rules (PSR) and NYSC Conditions of Service". 

Similarly, a lecture on the Roles and Responsibilities of Human Resource Management Officers was presented by the NYSC Kano State Coordinator, Malam Suleiman Andy.
