Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso College Set for Upgrade and Transformation

The Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso College of Advanced and Remedial Studies in Kano State is set for a major transformation, as plans are underway to upgrade it into the Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso College of Education and Preliminary Studies.

The upgrade is expected to significantly expand the institution’s academic scope and strengthen its role in preparing students for higher education and professional careers. Under the new structure, the college will be empowered to award Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) certificates, a vital qualification for aspiring teachers. In addition, it will run diploma programs that provide students with alternative pathways to tertiary education and career advancement.

Through affiliations with reputable universities, the college will also introduce degree programs, thereby widening access to quality higher education for students across Kano State and beyond.

The Kano State government has already shown strong commitment to this vision by providing modern facilities, including a fully equipped laboratory, to support the academic upgrade.

Established to offer remedial and advanced studies in sciences, arts, and social sciences, the college—named after former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has consistently worked to bridge educational gaps and empower students to contribute meaningfully to national development.
