The Student Affairs Division of Taraba State University, Jalingo, has issued a formal directive to newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session on hostel accommodation procedures.
In a public notice signed by the Dean of Students, Dr. Atando Dauda Agbu, students who had earlier reserved bed spaces in Zenith, Presidential, TETFund 2013, TETFund 2014 and JJT Halls were instructed to reprint their updated hostel reservation slips from the university portal. The document is now compulsory for verification by Hall Officers before access to any accommodation will be granted.
The notice stressed that the updated slip is the only valid proof of reservation and urged students to treat the directive with urgency.

The university also imposed a strict ban on cash payments for hostel accommodation. All payments are to be made solely through the institution’s official online payment platforms. Management warned that it will not be liable for any losses arising from cash transactions and that any student or individual found giving or receiving cash for hostel spaces will be subjected to disciplinary action.
The circular, dated January 10, 2026, applies to all newly admitted 100-level UTME and 200-level Direct Entry students and was also issued to parents and members of the public for awareness and compliance.
