Qualified candidates must initiate the process by applying online through the UNN Portal. The application process will guide you in completing the required forms. It is essential to complete all necessary information accurately and comprehensively. An integral part of the process is paying the application and processing fees as stipulated by the university. These fees are necessary to ensure the proper processing of your application. Upon successful submission of your application online, it is imperative to print a copy of the completed application. This copy is a vital document in the transfer process. To proceed further, the last page of the printed application must be forwarded to your current institution for official endorsement and release.
Simultaneously, the main application form should be forwarded to the Registrar at UNN. To substantiate your academic history and records, be sure to send your transcripts from your current institution directly to the Registrar at UNN. Once the Registrar at UNN receives your application, it undergoes a series of steps for evaluation and recommendation. The processed form is routed to the department or faculty to which you wish to transfer. Here, the Head of Department and the Dean play crucial roles in evaluating your request. Their recommendations are then forwarded to the Chairman of the Senate Entrance Board. These recommendations are presented at the Board's meeting for thorough consideration.

Following the Senate Entrance Board's review and recommendations, the package is subsequently sent to the Vice-Chancellor for the final approval. Once the Vice-Chancellor approves your transfer request, the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) unit is informed to update the University Portal with the necessary changes. This enables you to commence the registration process. Embracing academic opportunities outside your current institution can be a life-changing decision. The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, understands the importance of facilitating this process seamlessly. With this comprehensive workflow, prospective transfer students can navigate the inter-university transfer process with confidence and clarity, unlocking new academic horizons at UNN.
